丁仲修，1946年生于青岛，当代著名中国画家，是新技法、新面貌、新气象的北派山石画创始者。同时在梅花，牡丹以及书法创作领域也自成一派，造诣颇深。
出版有《丁仲修山石情怀·当代著名画家技法解析》，《梅花图谱》，《大匠之门》，《当代名家画集》，《大家气象》，《中国美术家大系——丁仲修卷》，《民族魂——黄河万里全貌图》，《黄海彼岸》等作品集十余种；艺术论文集《采石堂谈艺》以及技法理论丛书《丁仲修北派山石笔墨技法》，《丁仲修北派山石体系与技法概论》等。
丁仲修的山水世界有着无法度量的精神内涵和想象空间,其作品以极具风格化的艺术特色享誉当代中国画坛。在他的山水境象中，是以缺水少树的北方山石景观为主体，以局部放大的全新视角，运用自己创造的语言符号，走出了传统山水的程式，开拓了中国水墨画的当代性，给人以新异逼人的强烈印象。
2016年创作完成了长147米，高2.2米的描绘黄河万里全貌的巨幅作品《民族魂》，一经问世，各界为之震撼，为画家最知名的代表作之一，被誉为“中国八大长卷之一”，“中国巨幅山石绘画之最”。
2021年创作完成了长60米，高2.2米的《黄海彼岸》，描绘了青岛西海岸怡人的自然人文风貌，为青岛市打造出了一张卓越不凡的城市名片。
Artistic Resume
Ding Zhongxiu, born in 1946 in Qingdao, is a renowned contemporary Chinese painter, the originator of the Northern School mountain and stone painting which is a new faction with the new look,spirit and technique of Chinese Art.
He also established his own artistic style with great attainments in painting plum blossom, peony, and in calligraphy.
His publications include Ding Zhongxiu’s Yearning for Rock- Technical Analysis of Renowned Contemporary Painters, Illustrations of Plum Blossom, The Great Craftsmanship, The Album of Great Contemporary Painters, The Image of Grand Masters, Series of Chinese Artistes- Ding Zhongxiu, The Soul of Nation plus numerous collections of his work. articles include Cai Shi Tang Discussion of Art, and technical theory book Ding Zhongxiu’s Techniques of Brushwork of the Northern School of Rock, etc.
Ding Zhongxiu’s world of Rock contains unmeasurable spirituality and imagination, his unique style is highly acclaimed in the contemporary Chinese art world. In his Rock works, he focuses on the northern mountainous scenery with little water and trees, using a brand new perspective of an amplified local part, combined with his own symbolic language, breaks through the traditional Rock form, explored into the contemporary feature of Chinese watercolor style, leaving the audience with a surprisingly vivid impression.
In 2016, he completed his large-scale work The Soul of a Nation, with a length of 147 meters and a height of 2.2 meters, depicting the whole scenery of the Yellow River. The Soul of a Nation immediately gained critical acclaims all-around, known as “one of the eight long scrolls in China” and “the best painting of huge rocks in China”,became one of the artist’s best-known, and most representative work.
In 2021,he campleted his large-scale work The Dreamland of Huanghai Sea, with a length of 60 meters and a height of 2.2 meters, depiciting the beauty of the natural and cultural features of Qingdao.It became the most outstanding image representation of the city.
